Eric has dedicated his career to building and transforming businesses—helping organizations of every size, from start-ups to century-old firms, realize their full potential and prepare for the future.
His leadership philosophy centers on teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first mindset, ensuring that every success is shared by the firm, its people, and those it serves.
With a career spanning CEO and CFO roles, mergers and acquisitions, operational transformation, financial management, human resources, marketing, brand development, and team culture design, Eric brings a unique breadth of experience. He has guided companies through growth, restructuring, and new opportunities, always with an eye toward long-term sustainability and client impact.
Earlier in his career, Eric helped lead a North American manufacturing company go from 50% market share to 95% market share and become the #1 player in its product specialty. He reorganized operations, constructed and completed multiple M&A deals, and drove the company to new heights. From there, he launched a consulting practice, advising production-related industries and professional services firms, including CPA practices.
For 4 years, starting in 2020, Eric served as CEO of a regional CPA firm, leading it through the challenges of COVID-19 and positioning it for record growth. Under his leadership, the firm expanded to nine offices, developed a global support team, grew revenue threefold, quadrupled partner compensation, and secured recognition as a multiple time IPA Top 400 firm.
Since 2024, Eric has brought this same vision and experience to MarkhamNorton, serving as CEO and day-to-day leader of firm operations. He partners with the firm’s partners and professionals to strengthen client service, foster innovation, and build a collaborative culture that supports long-term success. Guided by his “Row the Boat” approach to leadership, Eric believes that when everyone is aligned and moving together, the firm and its clients can achieve extraordinary outcomes—today and well into the future.
