Jeff joined MarkhamNorton in 2025 and brings over 30 years of experience as a business appraiser, forensic accountant, dispute consultant, and expert witness in both State and Federal courts.
He has advised and appraised hundreds of closely held businesses across most industries, focusing on serving clients in Ohio, Michigan, and Florida. Jeff provides valuations of businesses and interests for sales, acquisitions, succession planning, gifts, trusts, estates, divorce, and ownership disputes.
He partners closely with clients to deliver actionable insights that support sound business and personal financial decisions.
Sharing time with his wife at the Turtle Club and celebrating the arrival of their grandson, Teddy.
If you were not in Accounting, what profession would you most enjoy being in? Why?
Teaching personal finance and responsibility at a high school or university. I have always valued education deeply, having paid for my own college education by working and teaching a managerial accounting course at Michigan State University.
What was one of your first jobs? How did it impact you?
Jeff was a dock hand at a high-end marina in Grand Haven, Michigan. He learned the value of hard work, humility, and attention to detail while launching, lifting, and parking expensive boats with care and precision.
What things do you enjoy doing outside the office?
Following my wife’s lead in social activities.
We are blessed with our first grandchild, Teddy; we have been obsessed since he arrived in April 2025.
