MarkhamNorton Welcomes Julie Simpson as Director, Advisory Services, Medical and Healthcare Practice

We’re excited to welcome Julie Simpson to the MarkhamNorton team as Director, Advisory Services – Medical and Healthcare Practice!

In her new role, Julie will lead our Medical and Healthcare Advisory Services, partnering with physicians, practice owners, and healthcare organizations to deliver strategic consulting, financial analysis, and operational guidance. Her focus will be on helping clients strengthen their business foundations, optimize performance, and achieve long-term growth in today’s evolving healthcare environment.

Prior to joining MarkhamNorton, Julie was Founder and Advisor of Island Coast Advisors, LLC, a healthcare mergers and acquisitions firm where she guided medical and dental practices through financial analysis, KPI assessment, and strategic planning to ensure successful growth and transitions. She also served as C.F.O. and Executive Director of Southwest Florida Oral & Facial Surgery, overseeing multi-location operations, financial management, and strategic initiatives, including a successful affiliation with a national DSO and a 500% increase in profitability through improved efficiencies and fiscal strategies.

Julie’s broad career experience includes business ownership, consulting, and education, all of which have shaped her deep understanding of both people and process. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Services Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University. She also serves as Treasurer of the Society of OMS Administrators and is an active member of the National Society of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants and Women in DSO.
